An enteric capsule is resistant to the pH of stomach acid. Our capsule bypasses the stomach’s digestive process and is delivered whole to the small intestine. It then responds to the change in pH of the small intestine and disintegrates: safely delivering the ingredients directly to the small intestine; this is where nutrient absorption in the body occurs (not in the stomach; that’s where food is digested, i.e. ‘broken down’).
